Amanda is no stranger to the Dry Cleaning business. Her Mom worked many years for the company while she was in grade school. Amanda came on board as a customer service representative when she was 14 and in High School. She left us after a year to work at a movie theater because the benefit of seeing free movies was a better fit for her at that time. 🙂
We didn’t hold that decision against her when she once again became employed with us three years ago. In fact, she’s a Manager at the 9538 126th Street location in Fishers, Indiana.
Prior to management, Amanda floated all over the main plant helping where she was needed. Having assisted with logging in customer’s garments and expediting orders at the corporate location, she knows what goes on behind the scenes so that your items are returned to you promptly cleaned and ready to wear.
Originally from the east side of Indianapolis, Amanda is a graduate of Warren High School and has a degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix. She’s a mom to an eight year old and a four year old who are getting into sports such as soccer, football and wrestling. That keeps her busy when she’s not at Classic Cleaners so she looks forward to her Wednesday nights out with her boyfriend of two years, Ryan. During “date night” Amanda and Ryan typically go bowling but also enjoy movies and dining out. When asked if either of them are good bowlers, Amanda laughs.
In addition to bowling, Amanda enjoys riding horses when she can find the time. She grew up camping almost every weekend with her family and it was during those camping trips that she began horseback riding. Being the type of person who likes to “go places and do stuff”, she says she’s going to try and find some time soon to revisit those childhood hobbies. To start with, she’s planning a Florida trip this holiday season where she says she’d love to go zip-lining.
The best thing about managing this Fishers location the last two years, Amanda says, is the relationships she’s built with her customers. She says they “talk about everything”.
We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Amanda. Stop in and say to her next time you’re near her store at SR137 and 126th street.
