Friday, May 12th, we had the pleasure of being the “Best Dressed” Sponsor, Judge and Award presenter at this year’s Wine Women & Shoes benefiting Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. The fourth annual event was held at Lucas Estate in Carmel, Indiana where more than 550 guests ate, drank, mingled and shopped to raise money for Gleaners’ youth programs such as Backsacks and Summer Meals for Kids.
After over a week of rain, the clouds parted and the sun came out just in time for the event to start. Shawna O’Brien (Marketing & Communications) and Crissy Daniels (Manager) mingled among the guests – observing their ensembles in the attempt to choose ONE “best dressed” lady. We ate, drank, talked with and took pictures of many women who we thought could be contenders for “Best Dressed”.
To our pleasant surprise, when we introduced ourselves as being with Classic Cleaners, we were told “You’re my cleaner! We Love you guys!” (YIPPEE!!)
To help narrow down the winner, we partnered with local lifestyle and fashion blogger, Beth Chappo of the popular site Seersucker + Saddles.
Crissy and I enjoyed being served and entertained by “The Shoe Guys”. These men volunteer their time to raise money and awareness prior to the event; and during the event, they help showcase the wine, shoes and clothing.
The day concluded with a wonderful program comprised of introductions to all that made the day possible, a live auction and finally, the awards for “Best Dressed” and “Best Shoe”.
Many women caught our eye but after much deliberation, we felt Mrs. Darrianne Christian didn’t miss a step when she “dressed” for the event; matching from head to toe in a Gucci outfit complete with gold glasses; red earrings & lipstick; navy Hermes Birkin bag and red Gucci shoes.
She took home a medal, a Tiffany Bracelet and $300 in Free Cleaning from Classic Cleaners.
The day ended with a little dancing and we all took home super cute swag bags filled with fun goodies including –
