Coats for Kids with The Salvation Army and WTHR 13
Since 2019, Classic Cleaners has been honored to support The Salvation Army of Central Indiana’s mission to keep kids warm each winter through their Coats for Kids program. Each fall, all Classic Cleaners locations accept donations of new or gently used coats, hats, and gloves. We then clean and help distribute them to thousands of children at the annual Coats for Kids event held at the Indiana State Fairground’s Blue Ribbon Pavilion. First Responders and Military
Classic Cleaners is proud to serve those who serve our community by offering discounted uniform cleaning to military personnel and first responders. We partner with several area police departments to keep our officers looking sharp as they keep our towns and cities protected and safe. Dress for Success Indianapolis
The mission of Dress for Success Indianapolis is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
More than 9,000 women have been served through Dress for Success Indianapolis since the organization was founded in 1999. Classic Cleaners has supported Dress for Success Indianapolis since 2003 by being a donation site accepting women’s suits and blouses. We then deliver them to Dress for Success Indianapolis’ downtown office. Since our partnership began, and with our customers’ help, over 10,000 women have interviewed in style, confidence, and a clean crisp suit.
In total, through our various types of support, Classic Cleaners’ corporate donations to Dress for Success Indianapolis have amounted to more than $200,000!
Our Environmental and Economic Responsibility
We use the safest cleaning products available and have been recognized by the Department of Environmental Management. Our system uses a kinder, gentler fluid that is 100% harmless and odorless and has received the highest rating available from the dermatological community. Those that have been sensitive to chemicals or odor can now safely – and effectively – benefit from having their wardrobe and household items professionally cleaned.
We encourage our customers to bring their hangers back to us for recycling by and provide hanger caddies for their convenience. A large percentage of these hangers are reused after sanitizing which reduces our waste as well as our operating cost.
On a daily basis, we also accept plastic wrap for reuse and recycling, and follow energy-smart practices.
